AbstractIn the present research, by changing the weft position, weave design, weft density, shed angle and loom speed, woven fabric was produced, and then the effect of these factors was investigated by performing thickness, covering factor, tensile strength and bending stiffness tests on the samples. The obtained results showed that by changing the fabric design from plain to satin 1/7, the thickness of the fabric has increased by 72.5%. Increasing the speed of the loom from 240 rpm to 270 rpm increases the thickness by 7.69%. By increasing the density of fabric from 17 pick/cm to 21 pick/cm, the thickness has increased by 5.66%. The most influential factor on the cover factor is the weft density, and with the increase of the weft density from 17 to 19 pick/cm, the value of the cover factor increases by 77.8%. By changing the shed angle from 260 to 280 degrees, the tensile strength in the warp direction increases by 6.58%. The fabric design has been the influencing factor on the amount of bending both in the warp and weft direction. By changing the fabric design from plain to satin, the amount of bending length in the direction of warp and weft has decreased by 18.89% and 17.96%, respectively. Also, by changing the weft density from 17 to 21 pick/cm, the bending length along the weft has increased by 13.71%. By increasing the speed of the loom from 240 to 270 rpm, the bending length along the weft decreased by 4.71%.
