EFFECT OF PHASE LAGS ON THERMOELASTIC FUNCTIONALLY GRADED MICROBEAMS SUBJECTED TO RAMP-TYPE HEATING

This article deals with the study of generalized solution for the vibration of functionallygraded (FG) microbeam in the context of the dual phase lag model. Numerical results arepresented for the FG beam subjected to a ramp-type heating and has exponentially varyingmaterial properties through the thickness. The effect of the ramping time parameter is studied onthe lateral vibration, temperature, displacement, stress, the moment and the strain energy of the FGmicrobeam. The influence of the thickness of the beam is also analyzed. A comparison of theresults for different theories is presented. The results obtained theoretically have been computednumerically and are presented graphically. Some particular cases are also discussed in the contextof the problem.
