Abstract

This article first introduces the university legal clinic as an independent, non-profit institution of public utility and as part of a university that simultaneously pursues two objectives: practical training of law students through working with real clients and providing free legal services for the vulnerable groups of society who do not have access to them in any other ways. <br />Afterwards, having explained the positive consequences of the establishment of legal clinics and clinical education, the article introduces a variety of legal clinics such as: in-house clinics, out-house clinics, live/real clinics, simulation clinics and mobile clinics. <br />Finally, the experience of MofidUniversity in establishing a university legal clinic- which is the first of its kind in Iran- and other related activities such as holding a moot court for students is explained.
