    چکیده
This study investigates the Holocene tool assemblage of the Amarkantak Plateau, Madhya Pradesh, India. The research gives insights into the technical and socio-cultural features of human populations that thrived inthis region throughout the Holocene period by systematic archaeological surveys and examination of recoveredartefacts. The discoveries reveal a wide range of stone tools, including blades, scrapers, points, etc., demonstratingthe versatility and resourcefulness of ancient dwellers in the Amarkantak Plateau. The presence of microlithictool producers in the plateau differs from the other topographical pockets where microlithic tools were reportedearlier. The metric analysis of the tool typologies retrieved during the surveys points towards the diversity of theartefacts. The presence of distinct lithic typologies prepared with various technologies and materials suggests asort of contact with neighboring locations, which might have influenced the cultural dynamics of Amarkantak.Additionally, the study examines the geographical distribution of archaeological sites across the plateau, offeringinsights into Holocene settlement patterns, land use practices, and resource management. Emphasizing theimportance of multidisciplinary research and collaboration, this study underscores the potential for reconstructingthe past and enhancing our understanding of human history.
