This research studies the relationship between socio-economic status and music consumption among the youth. The socio-economic indexes include prestige, power and property from Max Weber's Theory. This survey covers a researcher-made questionnaire along with 200 young ones between 15-35 years of age living in Tehran (areas: Elahieh, Jourdan, Apadana, Enghlab, Kianshahr, Ra-ahan). Nine hypotheses were analyzed in the search and statistical coefficients show significant relationship between music consumption and youth status. It also shows that there is a significant relationship among variables like prestige, power and economic status with music consumption
