Accumulation of soluble salts in arid areas which are similar to most regions of Iran is inevitable in soil surface and profile because of low precipitation and high evaporation. High concentration of soluble salts in soil profile caused severe problems for root water uptake thus plant growth stopped. Reducing soil salinity to optimized content by leaching and avoiding soil pounding must be consider for reclaim saline soils which were recognized in many studies to determine the potential of saline and sodic soils for physical and chemical reclamation and also the amount of leaching water to decline soluble salts from soil profiles by field experiments were evaluated in previous studies. It is also possible to compute reclamation water requirement and leaching duration by simulation models with desired accuracy. Some researchers suggested to use empirical models to cover the spatial variation of soils in field. The objectives of this study were to evaluate and statistically compare the empirical models of leaching soluble salts and also introduce the most accurate empirical model for Khuzestan province with an area of 64057 square kilometer. The results showed that among the others the empirical power function model introduced by Pazira and Keshavarz (1378 ) was the most appropriate and suitable for study area.
