dc.description.abstractThe complexation of Alkali metal cations by the water-soluble p-sulfonic acid calix(4)arene<br />was thermodynamically characterized using spectrophotometeric data which are consistent<br />with the formation of a 1:1 complex resulting from electrostatic interactions between the<br />sulfonato groups and alkali metal cations. In this study, we determined the formation<br />constants (log K) of the complexes and have compared in deferent pH (1.0 and 1.5) at 25°C.en_US
